Meet the Team

Phil Bird

Chief Executive Officer

With an IT technical background, Phil has 30 years of director level experience and has previously successfully started, built and sold his own software company. When Phil isn’t absorbed in the business and hasn’t got a sports injury,(sorry Phil) he enjoys keeping fit through road cycling and running, and has a real passion for art.

Simon Albert

Chief Technical Officer

Simon has 30 years of IT service, support and management experience; with 15 years at director level.
Prior to founding The PC Support Group in 2006, Simon was Head of IT for the European division of the world's largest paper producing organisation.
Having considerable technical knowledge, Simon has an eye for detail and he leads The PC Support Group’s drive to continually enhance efficiencies with the ongoing development of quality processes and world class systems.
Simon’s business philosophy is to ensure we listen and deeply understand our clients’ objectives and needs, then deliver to an outstanding level that exceeds expectations; and by doing this our success will naturally follow.
His personal philosophy is to speak up for the protection of nature, our environment, human and animal rights; whilst upholding the peace and rule of law through his role as a magistrate since 2020.

Stella Albert

Administration Manager

Stella’s admin experience started with data entry for the world’s largest paper producer (which is where she met her future husband, Simon). She did all the admin when The PC support Group was still in its fledgling stages back in 2006 before it grew to the size it is today. Today Stella’s role in the business is to manage the day to day finances, invoicing and credit control; and crucially overseeing the monthly payroll run! When Stella has any free time, she likes to spend it having a nice walk with her family and Buster the dog or pottering in her garden at home.

John Brogan

Service Delivery Manager

When he’s not being a self-confessed IT nerd, John enjoys a good board game with friends. Interestingly (or we think so,) John once lived in China training teachers at an international school. If you worked with him you would know how passionate John is about following processes!

Jake Thomas

Business Development Manager

Jake has worked very successfully in sales for nine years, where he worked at NewsQuest selling newspaper advertisements nationally, before specialising in VoIP phone systems for the last five years.
One of his biggest strengths is definitely his enthusiasm (which is great to be around). When he isn’t working Jake likes to spend his time with his family, supporting Liverpool FC & online gaming.

Emma Hughes

Project Manager

With an IT Engineer background Emma has worked in automotive manufacturing industry for over five years but before then also completed 10 years in the Royal Navy as a Communications Specialist, where she became a natural born leader and has developed impeccable organisation skills (organised and bossy in other words).
In between her time running around after her toddler Cammi, she can be found doing DIY, building flat pack furniture or making multiple Macramé crafts for family and friends. Her biggest love after her daughter is anything Harry Potter related.

Dawn Boyle

Office Administrator

Dawn has over 25 years’ experience in admin working for several of the emergency services as well as the Home Office and the NHS. Dawn takes care of most of the important general office duties such as stock control, client telephone billing & contracts as well as overseeing our staff H&S and HR requirements.
She is our office first aider (well qualified we think!) and most importantly our social organiser. What can we say – every office needs a Dawn! When she is not looking after us in the office, Dawn can be found exercising with glow sticks in the dark (don’t ask!)

Philip Robbins

IT Support Manager

Pip has worked in the IT sector on and off for over 30 years with the last 16 years in management. He has worked for some big names such as Anglo American gold mines and Rank Xerox, living and working around the world.
During this time, amongst other things, he has rolled out service desks whilst managing teams of engineers, and impressively was instrumental in winning European Service Desk of the year whilst working for Liberty Global.
Pip is great company in the office, enthusiastic, rarely quiet and always positive.
When he’s not busy in IT, Pip’s time is taken running his own distillery, so you can imagine how popular he is with the rest of the staff! His award-winning bourbon definitely gets our thumbs up.

Robert Wilson

Support Engineer

Robert started as a Computer Support Apprentice and has been a Computer Support Engineer for nearly four years now. He has worked in various sectors including Education (helping set up The Government UTC Schools Project), waste management and even car rentals. People say that Robert is a calming person (exactly what you need when you come to us), well when he’s not busy gaming or his other main hobby – cars!

Phil Case

Senior Systems Engineer

Phil has been with The PC Support Group now for over ten years and done practically every IT role you can imagine which makes his experience pretty rounded. Phil loves travelling and particularly likes going on unusual holidays like when he travelled to Borneo and stayed in a long hut with locals. Different hey!

Andy Cannon

Support Team Leader

Andy has been in IT for over 30 years, starting off as an electronic engineer repairing Ethernet communications equipment. From there he worked in Network Support in The Big Smoke before returning to his northern roots and moving into field service.
He started at PCSG as a 2nd line support engineer before being promoted several times internally to the role he now does.
When Andy is not looking after our valued customers and keeping the rest of the support team in check, he likes to completely escape from computers and ringing phones. His idea of bliss is taking long walks with his dog and camping trips which are turning into glamping trips as he gets older (his words not ours!!)

Jonathan Jones

Desktop Support Engineer

Jon has worked in IT for eight years, starting as an IT Administrator and working his way up to hardware engineer, where he worked for several technology companies including Fujitsu. He has worked as a service desk engineer now for just under two years which he enjoys especially when dealing with hardware problems, which is his strength. When he isn’t looking after our clients, Jon’s passions are music, football and gaming (of course!)

Jack Rutland

Desktop Support Engineer

Jack has been a Desktop Support Engineer for four years previously providing IT services in-house for a logistical and warehouse management company. He works hard and plays hard and by play he likes to spend his free time outdoors especially doing adrenalin sports and has a passion for anything related to cars.

Oluwaseyi Onamusi

Desktop Support Engineer

Seyi studied computer science at university and has been a Desktop Support Engineer for just over a year. Prior to that she was an IT Support Engineer at Cerco IT where she gained experience in CRMs and migrating between operating systems amongst other things. She describes herself as very dedicated (which we’re glad to hear) especially to her second love – football.
