If you find yourself working late at night, or early in the morning when the sun is yet to rise, a brightly-coloured monitor can strain the eyes and cause headaches. Thankfully, dark mode for Windows minimises the screen brightness to make screen time easier on the eyes.

See below how to enable dark mode on Windows:

  • Navigate to settings > Personalisation > Colours.

  • In the list for Choose your mode, select Dark.

You can further change the accent colours while the dark mode is enabled.

  • Expand the Accent colour section, then:
    • To have Windows automatically pick an accent colour, select Automatic.
    • To manually select an accent colour, select Manual.
